We spent Thanksgiving in Big Canoe this year. We rented a cabin somewhat last minute, but we were able to find one. In retrospect, we realized the steep lot didn't work out well with the kids - note for a future year - but there was a neat winding walkway down to the house covered in colorful glass stones. Savannah had a great time finding these and gathering them all on a little stump at the bottom of the stairs. We all spent several hours gathering those little things!
The cabin was comfortable and had a great view!
We spent some time in the little downtown area which was really cute and charming! There were a lot of pretty Christmas decorations up throughout.
Savannah enjoyed Santa's sleigh!
We found an old five and dime with some unique things - Savannah got some rock candy!
Then we went by a little toy store where Savannah found some sticker books and Merrick got a little playset of a football, basketball and soccer ball. He and Savannah had a good time playing with those!
We went on a long nature walk one day at dusk. It was neat to be outdoors with the kids in a pretty area, and everyone seemed to enjoy it! Savannah especially enjoyed walking Piper!
