I was especially excited about finding this fondant poodle on Etsy - adorable! SugarandStripesCo makes this - among many other ridiculously cute fondant cake toppers. We had a candy buffet (of which said gumballs were a part - note to self, never buy black gumballs for toddlers again!) in black, pink and pearl, some delicious French pastries from GA French Bakery and cupcakes! Cupcake wrappers were also courtesy of Etsy at DKDeleKtables. Candy came from Birthday Express, which has a good selection of birthday stuff, but most of it you can find at Party City too.
I love the pennant banners I'm seeing everywhere and thought it would be really cute to do a French-themed one for this party. I searched and never could find what I wanted - not to mention they're quite pricey - especially if you can only use it once. I ended up making one out of paper, ribbon and staples. It cost me next to nothing and was really cute for the party. Oddly, I didn't get any pictures of it, but it did end up in one of the videos (screenshot below - sorry for the poor quality!) I like that I was able to make it exactly to my specifications - and the fact that it was almost free certainly didn't hurt either.
Merrick got his hands on a cupcake and swiftly destroyed it! I think a little may have made it to his mouth, but it was mostly just for squishing.
Here's video of the blowing out of the candles!! And the beginning of Merrick's destruction of the cupcake:)
Everyone seemed to have a good time and enjoyed the cupcakes - I love Publix bakery! An old silver teapot and sugar and cream dishes made a great centerpiece! I picked them up at the local Goodwill for a few dollars! Paper lace doilies added a little bit of a Frahnch feel but were okay to be destroyed too:)
The kids had a good time playing outside, and thankfully the weather was relatively nice!

Daddies had a good time too:)
And after everyone left, we had a fashion show, starring Grandmama! She looks fabulous, don't you all agree? The spy glasses add just the right touch of flare:)
Can't believe my big girl is two!! Can't imagine my life without her! Happy Birthday sweet girl!!!
