The kids first Halloween together was a lot of fun! I found a few ideas for kid-friendly Halloween treats online and gave them a try - they were a lot of fun to make, and surprisingly very easy too! Easy means a lot with two little ones running around!
These cute owl cupcakes were simply Publix cupcakes, mini Oreos, mini M&Ms, candy corn and slivered almonds! So easy and took no more than 5 minutes!
Skeleton cupcakes were fairly easy too! Same plain Publix cupcakes, wood skewers, marshmallows, yogurt covered pretzels and some writing icing! I will say, the arm pieces were difficult to make. I had to break a lot of pretzels to get them right! Otherwise, even easier than the owls!
Graveyard pudding was extremely easy! Jello mousse, crumbled Oreos and Milano cookies - same writing icing, stick in some gummy worms and that's it! It actually tasted pretty great too!
The kids were a girl and boy sheriff. The idea began when we found Merrick's costume at a consignment sale and it was too cute to pass up! Savannah's cow skirt was found at the same consignment sale and everything else at Kid to Kid. The only exception are Merrick's cowboy boots which were a gift - LOVE them!
We started our trick or treating early to beat the fussiness and made it to all of maybe five houses before it was time to go home. Savannah had a great time answering the door for trick-or-treaters and handing out candy - I think she enjoyed it a lot more than getting the candy even! Happy Halloween everyone!!!
